Bond Plans to Visit UNC

Recently, LaMarcus Bond saw a slight increase to his scholarship offers pile, which had already included N.C. State, Clemson, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Virginia.

"UNC and Miami are my newest offers," said Bond. "I can't remember when they offered. Florida State and Georgia are coming on strong now, too."

Bond, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound athlete from Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford, still remains open, but has narrowed his list of offers down to the five schools he plans to officially visit this fall.

"I'm still looking at all of [my offering schools]," said Bond. "I'm going to visit N.C. State, Virginia Tech, UNC, UVa., and Miami. I just want to see what those schools are like. I haven't set anything yet."

Over the summer, Bond attended one-day camps at both N.C. State and Virginia.

Last season, Bond rushed for 922 yards and 18 touchdowns on 100 rushes, and caught 16 passes for 394 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 6 more touchdowns on special teams. Bond's statistics helped led Hertford County to a 9-6 record and earned him the All-Conference Player of the Year.
