Cave Has UNC Offer, Will Visit

Ryan Cave dominated line play at the Scout.com combine in Jacksonville, Fla. However, the Beaufort (S.C.) offensive lineman has just one offer though he is willing to wait for more right now.

"I have an offer from North Carolina. I'm probably going to wait until maybe the middle of the season for me, my coach, and my mom to make a decision on where I am going," says the 6-foot-4, 330-pounder. "I like North Carolina; I am going up the 17th for an unofficial visit to watch the Wisconsin game."

There are a few other schools still waiting on senior film from Cave, and he plans on seeing as many colleges as possible himself to make a fair decision later this year.

"I am waiting on Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Duke is there, too," he said. "I don't have dates set, but I am planning on going to those three.

"I am trying to catch South Carolina versus Florida, and I am pretty sure I am getting up to the Duke versus Virginia Tech game."

Beaufort is off to a strong start on the year after winning the first week of games 49-0 and winning again last Friday 56-7 against Goose Creek. Cave said he is certainly excited about the prospects for this season and hopes that senior film has plenty of plays.
