"(Arnold and Edwards) need to let the (holes) open up for them," Bunting said. "When the zone pressure (is) coming off the edges, things are going to open up if you're patient — don't always cut back."

University of Wisconsin football coach Barry Alvarez has been in contact with officials at North Carolina, who've told him Hurricane Ophelia, which was downgraded to a tropical storm Monday, should be out of the area by Thursday.

Pessimists, on the other hand, would note that anyone could roll up those numbers against Bowling Green and Temple, the eighth- and second-worst defenses in the country, respectively, among teams that have played twice.
