"I told Ben that I was neutral at the game but I was secretly pulling for North Carolina," Watson said. "I was really impressed with North Carolina's defense.
"I thought they (UNC) were going to win but that the offense let them down a bit."
Dekoda's South Aiken team is currently 3-0 and on its way to a fine season. Watson has garnered three sacks in his first three games.
"I'm starting out a little slow this year but things will pick up," he said.
Watson has offers from the Tar Heels and Kentucky, though he also likes Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee. He claims no leader among his favorites.
"I'm going to check out the South Carolina/Alabama game this weekend," he said. "I talked to [UNC assistant coach Andre] Powell last night and I'm planning to make it to the next North Carolina home game with Utah."
