"I like it down there," said Miller. "I like the atmosphere, the fans, and the community. I really love Franklin Street. I've started to have a good relationship with Coach [John] Bunting and Coach [Andre] Powell."
Miller, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker from Highland Springs (Va.), spends the majority of his visits – outside of watching the games – hanging out with current UNC players and having extensive meetings with members of the coaching staff.
"They are telling me they need me," said Miller. "They need linebackers and they think I would be a good fit."
Recently, Miller, who has received scholarship offers from over 30 schools, narrowed down his list of favorites to six final schools. Not surprisingly, the Tar Heels made the cut.
"I feel pretty good about [UNC] – I wanted to keep them on my list," said Miller.
Although nothing has been set, Miller said he plans to use one of his five allotted officials on another trip to Chapel Hill. He has, however, also scheduled official visits with Tennessee (October 7th), Virginia Tech (November 5th), and Virginia (November 12th). He is also considering Miami and Florida.
At this time, Miller lacks a leader, but said he hopes to make a decision by Christmas time.
