"The highlight was at halftime of the football game, I went to the concession stand and a whole bunch of people swarmed me and told me I should go there," he added.
This past week also brought Tar Heels coach Roy Williams to Memphis for an in-school visit.
"It went pretty good," Young said of his meeting with the UNC head man. "Everyone comes in and basically tells you the same thing, but they came in, showed me the new rings and talked to me about how they'd play me."
"Coach Williams told me he'd play me like he played Paul Pierce when he coached him at Kansas," Young added.
In addition to the three schools he has already looked at – and Arkansas -- Young is also considering nearby Memphis.
"I'll probably go there this week or weekend on an unofficial visits," Young said. "I finish school early, so I could go after school – but it'll probably be over the weekend."
Young also said it's unlikely he'll take a visit to Tennessee.
Young's teammate with Memphis Pump ‘N Run, Willie Kemp, recently committed to John Calipari's program.
"I don't think it'll affect me one way or the other," Young said. "On one hand, I'd like to play with him. But on the other hand, I'd like to play against him."
Young reiterated the fact that he wants an opportunity to play on the perimeter in college.
"The goal is to have everything done by November 1st," Young said. "I want to get it done and get it off my back by the end of the early signing period at the latest."
Is there any early leader after a trio of visits?
"No. I'm just looking and listening right now," he said. "I'm definitely going to wait until after I go on my last visit and then make a decision."
