Childers Watching Closely

Tori Childers is generating a little more game tape than he expected this year as his Rock Hill, S.C. squad is making a charge through the playoffs.

"Our coaching staff sent out some more tapes to schools," Childers said.

"I am still looking at North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee. We are talking about setting up visits and I am trying to get a visit set up for after the state championship."

Childers, a three-star wide receiver, says that all the teams are on an even playing field though he is interested to see how the schools play the rest of the year.

"I am waiting for the bowl games to see what type of team they are during bowl week. If a team does not make a bowl, it does not knock them out because I want to see how they finish the season."

Finishing the season is a big part of Childers' history, having won the state championship last year and overcoming two early losses this year to earn the number one seed in the Big 16 playoff bracket.

"We've got the second round of the playoffs coming up against Dorman here at home. We are still the number one seed."
