Mullins Has Four Officials Set

Alerick Mullins, the top defensive lineman in the state of North Carolina, has decided on four of his official visits.

Mullins will visit Oklahoma this weekend to watch the Sooners' game against Oklahoma State. In addition to Oklahoma, he has visits scheduled with Auburn, Tennessee and Florida.

"He is not sure if he'll take the fifth visit," said East Wake assistant coach Chad Davenport. "He has visited UNC many times and feels that he knows them pretty well."

"[UNC assistant coach] Coach [Ken] Browning does a terrific job recruiting here and I know that he will try and show him the importance of seeing UNC on an official visit.

"It's a lot different going on those official visits than the unofficial ones. Carolina is still one of the teams he is considering even if he does not take an official visit there."

East Wake completed its season with a loss to Greenville Rose High School. Mullins will play in the Shrine Bowl game in December to complete is high school football career.
