Ga. WR/S Says Heels Lead, Will Visit

Rome, Ga. S/WR prospect Brian Watters is a name rising up recruiting charts in the Peach State. He's held the same two offers since the summer, but he's drawing heavy interest from schools across the south and it appears that total could rise in the near future.

"I still have offers from MTSU and Ball State right now but I'm going to North Carolina next weekend for an official visit," Watters said. "I'll be at UAB some time soon also. I know I'll be taking one to Ball State on January 13th as well."

At the current time, the Heels are on top.

"I like North Carolina the most right now," he said. "It's just a great school and although it's a basketball school I think their football team is going to turn around and I want to be a part of that. They want me at wide receiver."

Watters did a bit of everything for the Wolves this season.

"I played quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back and I had 600 something yards at wide receiver in 5 or 6 games," he said. "On defense I had 6 interceptions and I'm not even sure of my quarterback stats but I had about 25 total touchdowns."

Watters has in-home visits with Ball State and Wake Forest scheduled for next week. Brian Watters Profile
