Inside Carolina: Bryan, thanks for taking time out and talking with us. When did UNC offer you a scholarship?
Bryan Bethea: It was during the first week of this month. I went up to Chapel Hill check things out and little did I know that I would bring home a scholarship offer.

IC: What did Coach bunting say to you?
Bethea: He said that he saw me play on film and that Coach Paroli had a lot of good things to say about me. Coach Paroli had told Coach Bunting that I was good person off the field as well. Coach Bunting said that he liked what he heard while watching my game film.

IC: Why did you decide on choosing UNC?
Bethea: I had the opportunity to meet the entire staff. They were really sincere and straightforward with me. Combine that with the great academic opportunities, the direction the football program is going in, and the facilities then it seemed like the right place for me.

IC: Did Coach Paroli give you any advice?
Bethea: He knows Coach Bunting personally. He told me what a good man Coach Bunting is and that he is a good coach. He also said that he has talked with Coach Bunting about plans concerning the UNC football program. He talked about the big Peach Bowl win that they just had. I have a lot of respect for Coach Paroli, so it meant a lot hearing that.

IC: Did you have a favorite school growing up?
Bethea: No. I didn't dream that I would go to college. I kind of liked TN some because of the pictures of their stadium that they sent me while they were recruiting me but that's about it.

IC: Have you ever seen UNC play football?
Bethea: Not football only basketball.

IC: Do you plan on going to the UNC camp?
Bethea: Yes, I plan on going there this summer.

IC: How about other camps?
Bethea: No. Just the UNC camp.

IC: Will you visit other schools?
Bethea: No, I am done with recruiting.

IC: What do you plan to major in?
Bethea: Communications

IC: What do you think your strengths are as a player?
Bethea: I am really agile. I make swift cuts and I am pretty tough. I consider myself as a team player and as long as we're winning then I am happy.

IC: Thanks for talking with us Bryan. We look forward to talking again soon.
