Inside Carolina: Thanks for talking with us Eddie. Do you plan on visiting UNC?
Eddie Pinigus: I have visited UNC about three times and I plan on coming down for a one day team camp on June 22.

IC: When have you visited Chapel Hill before?
Pinigus: Jon Hamlett and I came down for the FSU game last year. I really enjoyed that game. Our high school coach brought some of us down to look around once and to meet the coaching staff. I also came down for junior day this spring.

IC: What did you think about UNC and Chapel Hill?
Pinigus: I really liked the campus and the facilities are really nice. I also think that Coach Bunting is really turning things around there.

IC: Who is your primary recruiter?
Pinigus: Coach Browning is my primary recruiter. He came up to a camp that was held at our high school, Jefferson Forest.

IC: Have you met any of the other members of the UNC staff?
Pinigus: My uncle (Calbert Jones) played at Virginia Tech and I met Coach Tranquill and Coach Powell through him (when they coached at UVA).

IC: What would you say is the best part of your game?
Pinigus: I'd say my pass blocking, although I am improving my run blocking as well.

IC: Did you have a favorite team growing up:
Pinigus: Virginia Tech was my favorite team growing up, but they have not shown much interest in me so I have not been considering them as much as the others.

IC: Do you know when you would like to commit?
Pinigus: I'll probably wait until after the season is over.

IC: Does your family have a preference where you go to school?
Pinigus: No, not really.

IC: Is distance a factor in choosing a school?
Pinigus: I probably wouldn't go to California but Florida would not be too far away.

IC: Do you know what you would like to major in?
Pinigus: I think I would like to major in business.

IC: Which team is recruiting you the hardest?
Pinigus: Virginia is recruiting me the hardest right now.

IC: What do you like about playing football?
Pinigus: I like that you can be aggressive on a football field. I like being able to crush people on the field.

IC: How do you think your HS team will do this year?
Pinigus: I think we will be very good. I expect us to make the playoffs and hopefully do well.

IC: What do you think about UNC's football team?
Pinigus: They are pretty aggressive. They use the same system that we use in high school so it would be an easy transition for me in that respect.

IC: What are the most important things to you in choosing a school?
Pinigus: Academics are first. I would also like to play in the NFL someday. To do that, I feel that I need to play somewhere that I can get some exposure. I would also like to go somewhere that I could start for at least three years.
