Big-time QB Visits UNC

This past Saturday, Josh Nesbitt's unofficial visits tour of his scholarship-offering schools brought him to Chapel Hill where he attended North Carolina's Junior Day.

A first-time visitor of the campus, Chapel Hill was surprisingly different from how Nesbitt envisioned.

"It went well," said Nesbitt. "It was different than I thought it would be -- I can't explain it."

Nesbitt, a 6-foot-1 200-pound dual-threat quarterback from Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County, toured the campus and meet some of UNC players, but was especially impressed with progress he saw during the Tar Heels' spring practice.

"The team looked good – it looked like it was on the up rise," said Nesbitt.

Nesbitt, who owns offers from Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Duke, maintains he's open as he continues to unofficially visit various campuses.

"I'm open right now to all the schools," said Nesbitt. "I'm considering all of them."

In addition to UNC, Nesbitt has already visited in-state schools Georgia and Georgia Tech, thus far. He has no future plans, but hopes to visit each of his offering schools before the start of his senior football season.

As a junior, Nesbitt's statistics definitely portray his dual threat ability as he passed for 2,844 yards and 35 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,723 yards and 22 touchdowns.
