Richardson Impressed by UNC Visit

Quintin Richardson unofficially visited North Carolina on Saturday, prior to participating in Sunday's All-American Combine held in Durham.

"UNC went well," said Richardson. "I really liked what I saw with the weight room, the facilities, and we got to catch a practice. It was good."

When Richardson first arrived, he received a tour of the facilities. His visit was capped off by observing the Tar Heels' spring practice, and conversations with members of the coaching staff.

"I talked to Coach [John] Bunting, and Coach [Danny] Pearman," said Richardson. "They had the official offer for me when I talked to Coach Bunting."

At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Richardson was offered as both an offensive tackle and defensive end, with Pearman playing the role of his recruiting coordinator.

Richardson claims to be wide open to all of his offering schools, but admits the schools he has recently visited currently "are in the front of [his] mind" including North Carolina.

"[My feelings towards UNC are] good," said Richardson. "I'm coming back as soon as I can."

Thus far, Richardson has visited N.C. State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, and Notre Dame, and will head to Clemson again this weekend for another unofficial trip.

A product of Columbia (S.C.) Spring Valley, Richardson claims offers from Auburn, Clemson, East Carolina, Kentucky, Maryland, MTSU, N.C. State, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
