Heels Offer N.C. OL

Landon Walker received early offers from East Carolina and NC State, and the East Wilkes (N.C.) offensive lineman added another scholarship to his list when North Carolina offered Walker.

"UNC ofered me at school [yesterday] when Coach Bunting called the school," said the 6-foot-6, 259-pounder. "He talked about how I could help them team, that they want me up for their camp this summer, and that I have a full scholarship."

While NC State is still the team to beat for Walker, he will take a little longer to make a decision.

"It makes the decision a little more difficult. Before, I could say State was where I would end up, but now it is going to be a tough decision. I could go through the full season or a couple of weeks in, but I am leaning to committing before the season starts."

So who is next in line to offer the offensive lineman recently named to the Scout.com Durham All-Combine team?

"I have heard a bunch from South Carolina, and Clemson has hired a coach that is in charge of my area, so I have started to hear from them a lot more. I would say one of those would be my next offer."

Walker will attend the NC State team camp, North Carolina, and has yet to decide on his third camp this summer.
