Alfred Hamilton Joins IC Magazine Staff

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- In a continued effort to provide the best possible publication, the Inside Carolina Magazine is excited to announce the addition of a renowned local writer. Alfred Hamilton will now be a monthly contributor to the magazine.

"We're thrilled to have added noted writer Alfred Hamilton to our magazine staff," said the president of Inside Carolina, Buck Sanders. "We are committed to publishing the finest magazine on UNC sports anywhere."

A 1965 graduate of North Carolina, Hamilton worked for the Greensboro Daily News and The Greensboro Record from 1972-1984. His extensive experience covering Tar Heel sports includes being a major contributor to the 1982 championship book "March To The Top," a co-writer of the annual Carolina Court publication and was a prominent columnist for three years at goheels.com. Hamilton now resides in Raleigh, where he's a general partner in a marketing communications firm.

"I'm looking forward to finding special stories about UNC athletics that will appeal to the Inside Carolina reader," Hamilton said. "There is a rich tradition at Carolina and I've been privileged to witness some of it."

Hamilton's already working on his first feature, which will appear in the September issue of the magazine.
