Holland Will Visit Before Deciding

Scout.com three-star prospect Cameron Holland was ready to give Pittsburgh his verbal commitment earlier this week, but has since reconsidered the notion to check out the campuses of other interested schools.

"I was ready to make a decision, but I decided it was best to visit a few other schools before I make a decision," said Holland. "I'm probably going to hold off on [making a decision] for a little bit. I was going to pick Pitt, but I wanted to hold off and make sure for myself."

Holland, 6-foot-3 270-pound offensive guard from Pittsburgh (Pa.) Perry Academy, is now looking to visit North Carolina and possibly Kentucky. He will make a trip to Chapel Hill July 14th, and although that's the weekend of the Tar Heels' individual rising senior camp, Holland will only be on hand as an observer.

"I'm basically going to go down there, see the campus, get to know all the coaches, have an academic meeting, and meet some of the other recruits," said Holland. "They did say that I would meet Mike Paulus and spent time with him, and also Ryan Houston."

Paulus has already reached out to Holland.

"I only talked to him one time," said Holland. "He gave me an insight about why he picked North Carolina and what he liked about them."

In addition to the three aforementioned schools, Holland holds a scholarship offer from Temple.

According to Holland, he should be prepared to make a decision shortly following his trip to Chapel Hill.

Following his junior season at Perry Traditional Academy, Holland was named to the first team all-city and first team All-AAA teams.
