Practice Starts Today

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- After reporting to campus on Thursday, the Tar Heel football team will take the field late Friday afternoon for its first practice of the season.

With the season opener against Rutgers (Sept. 2) less than a month away, August will be dedicated to practice.

The first session is Friday afternoon -- without pads -- on the Navy Practice Fields starting shortly before 5 p.m. and the team will hold a single practice each of the next five days before its first two-a-day next Wednesday.
