"It didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but that's how it works some times. It's a roadblock, you've got to get past it. It's time to go on Saturday and I'm going to support this team because I want to win more than I wanted to win the quarterback competition."

Did you know what the decision was when you met with Coach Bunting on Monday?

"We knew we were meeting about that, but I had no idea what the decision was. When they told us, I was fine with that and you move on."

Were you nervous to meet with Coach?

"Oh, yeah. When you get called into Coach Bunting's office, you're always a little nervous because you never know if it's good or bad."

Were you and Dailey called in there together?

"Yeah, they called us in there together and we talked about it."

Do you know how much you'll play?

"They said be ready to go so I'll be ready to go. I'll go out and prepare as a starter and keep competing because that's the only way I know how to do it ..."

Does the fact that you're still going to play give you a good feeling moving forward?

"Oh yeah, because that gives me an opportunity to prove myself again. If my opportunity comes, then I will definitely go out there and try to prove myself."

With experience perhaps being the determining factor, do you feel like you had an equal chance to win the starting job?

"I feel like I had a chance [to win the starting spot], definitely. Just to see the way we both improved - I felt good about my improvement."
