"I don't think we're demoralized. We just didn't pull this one out. We're still positive. Right now we're searching for that ‘something,' that brings all three phases of the game together – that ‘thing' that will have everything glued in and clicking together.
"We're still very optimistic about this season. We've got 10 games left. That's a long season. We're just trying to find that glue that makes everything come together."
RONNIE MCGILL (1:06)
"You have to give the Virginia Tech defense credit. They flow and make you just do things you don't want to do. They have people everywhere, so you can't make any mistakes and you don't have anywhere to run.
"Their linemen just (inaudible), and they bring something off of the backside every play, so you can't cut back and you can't run outside. You just have to try and run it straight ahead, and they just have too many people around the ball."
JOE DAILEY (1:35)
"That was definitely not the type of performance that we wanted, we've got to give them credit, because they did some things that kind of shut us down. Because the defense came out and they played really well, we kept getting the ball on on our side of the field, but we couldn't capitalize."
CAM SEXTON (1:00)
"We've got to be resilient, and this game will bring the same amount of pressure it always does. We want to go out and win, and we need to win.
"We had a great game plan, but we've just got to eliminate the big mistakes on offense. We had drive-killing mistakes, I threw an interception, and you can't do that against anybody and be successful. We have to go back and eliminate the negatives and build on the positives."
DURELL MAPP (1:46)
"We've always got to start over and just play. We did and sometimes we didn't, and we've got to figure out how to do that consistently.
"Shut down everything. We've got to shut down everything. That's all we can do, make sure we secure a victory. We've got to do whatever it takes to win. We always got a chance regardless, I mean we're still going 10-2, at least that's the way I look at it."
LARRY EDWARDS (1:14)
"It's not satisfying at all if you don't get a win. We just gave (the offense) every opportunity in the world to win, but the scoreboard doesn't reflect that. We made a few simple mistakes, but we're doing this for the win. We do this to win football games, because we love it.
"We just played our game, like we knew we were going to play. All this week in practice, we made sure we knew our assignments, and made sure we did the little things. We made sure we went over our techniques and assignments over and over again."
COOTER ARNOLD (0:29)
"We've just got to keep playing and step it up. We should have won. We've just got to play.
"I felt pretty comfortable. I got out there and I knew what I was doing, just playing what I need to play and being where I'm supposed to be."
