Little Narrows List; Readies for Decision

DURHAM, N.C. --- With his decision coming on Monday, Greg Little has made yet another alteration to his favorites list.

"Basically, Florida [is out]," Little said Friday night. "I don't think I could see myself succeeding in their system. I'm not trying to down the school. It's a great school, they score a lot, the offense is great, but I don't think it's the right situation for me."

Little, a 6-foot-4 210-pound athlete from Durham (N.C.) Hillside, is now down to Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Ohio State, and North Carolina.

To help make his college decision, Little has taken official visits to Ohio State and Notre Dame. This weekend he heads to USC for an official with the Trojans. However, he won't officially visit North Carolina before making his college selection.

"I've seen the school so much already," said Little. "I feel like I've seen enough of UNC to make a decision."

Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, Little claims his decision has yet to be made. "Not really, [my mind isn't mind up yet]," said Little. "I wouldn't say that [my decision is already made]. I think it's still up in the air."

Little hopes to have his decision made Sunday night.

"I'm going to look at all the options," said Little. "The offense, the coaches, academics, and stuff like that."

From Little's description, North Carolina seems to fit the mold of what he is looking for in a school.

"They have real good coaches, a great recruiting class coming in, a quarterback that can get me the ball, it's a great college town, it's a great community to be in – as far as going into the next level, and I think I can see myself succeeding there," said Little.

Despite what many believe, the slow start to North Carolina's 2006 season won't hinder their chances.

"I'm not downing them when I say this, but me coming in I hope that I can make a difference and be an impact player," said Little.

Little will announce Monday at 7 p.m.
