"The long line for photographs was only a few feet from the spot where McClain sustained a sickening injury during spring practice. It was last April that McClain broke both bones in his left leg, his left ankle and left heel under the weight of a pile of football players. McClain had extensive surgery and said he's got a metal rod running from inside his ankle to his knee along with various screws in his bones. He's hoping to start running again by the end of September or early October."
