Mustafa Shakur update

North Carolina is still calling, but Mustafa Shakur isn't biting.

The Friends Central (Pa.) senior point guard, considered the top player at his position in the Class of 2003, is down to two schools.

"I'm at N.C. State and Arizona," Shakur said. "But I may take a visit to Virginia and Georgia Tech."

The 6-3, 175-pound Shakur said he fielded a call from UNC assistant Fred Quartlebaum earlier this morning, but he isn't interested in the Tar Heels.

"It's just too late for any other schools to get involved now," Shakur said. "I always had my eyes set on N.C. State and Arizona."

When asked if Raymond Felton's presence in Chapel Hill played into his decision, Shakur was adamant.

"That wasn't it at all," he said.
