Little Attends UNC Game

Despite being a member of Notre Dame's verbal commitment list, Greg Little was among the football recruits in attendance for North Carolina's nationally televised basketball game against Ohio State on Wednesday.

"I mostly just was watching the game," said Little. "I mean, I spoke to some of the football guys that were there, but I was just mostly out just watching the game."

Little, a 6-foot-4 210-pound athlete from Durham (N.C.) Hillside, verbally committed to Notre Dame over North Carolina in early November.

Little verified that his presence in the Smith Center was "not really" to look into the situation at North Carolina. However, he did speak one-on-one with Butch Davis

"I just spoke to him and just had a conversation, really," said Little. "Mostly, it was just about his background, but mostly just friendly conversation. No, [he wasn't trying to recruit me], not at all."

Regardless, Little walked away impressed with North Carolina's new head football coach

"He's a real up-front guy that is just probably real demanding," said Little. "This was just my first time talking to him, but I'm sure he has good morals and values."

Little said he plans to regularly attend UNC home basketball games this season.

Little's football season ended prematurely when Fuquay-Varina (N.C.) eliminated them from the NCHSAA 4A playoffs in the second round. Little ended the season with 50 catches for 778 yards and nine touchdowns. He also rushed for 777 yards and 11 touchdowns on 105 carries.
