Four-Star TE Commits to UNC

Zack Pianalto, a 6-5, 200-pound four-star tight end from Springdale (Ark.) HS has changed his commitment from Texas to North Carolina, according to a local newspaper. Pianalto is ranked the No. 20 tight end in the nation by

"I'm so excited," Pianalto told the Morning News. "I loved (Carolina), and I got this feeling when I was there that I knew it was the place for me. ... It's really nice, it blew me away."

He committed to Texas in May, but had since been heavily recruited by Arkansas.

Pianalto plans to enroll at North Carolina this month. He'll arrive on campus on Jan. 14

A broken collarbone sidelined Pianalto for all but two games his senior season, so he only recorded 12 catches for 141 yards. As a junior, he had 400 receiving yards and helped lead his team to an undefeated mark and a class 5A state championship.
