Will Sims visit UNC?

Courtney Sims reiterated his desire to remain close to home – and also said there is "very little possibility" of him visiting Chapel Hill, despite a recent report that indicated otherwise.

"Probably not," the 6-10 ½, 222-pound Noble & Greenough (Mass.) senior said of taking an official visit to UNC. "They really haven't been calling me much lately."

One of the reasons – and the most likely one - that the Carolina staff has backed off Sims could be because they realize just how hard it'd be to pull him away from the Northeast. It's far more likely he'll choose to remain in the New England area and commit to Boston College, UConn or Providence.

"Unless I like a school like Michigan and really feel comfortable with the coaching staff, I'll stay close to home," Sims added.

Sims has taken unofficial visits to UConn, Providence and BC. He has also scheduled official visits to Michigan (Sept. 7), Syracuse (Sept. 13) and Maryland (Sept. 27) and also may take an official trip to both BC and UConn.
