Easterling Looking to Schedule Final Visit

Antwain Easterling is waiting to hear back from North Carolina to finalize an official visit to Chapel Hill.

"I'm going to setup [an official visit] but they haven't gotten back with me," said Easterling.

Easterling, a 5-foot-11 190-pound tailback from Miami (Fla.) Northwestern, last spoke to his primary recruiter, Charlie Williams, last week.

If Easterling does schedule an official visit with the Tar Heels, it will be for the weekend of February 2nd as the Scout.com four-star prospect heads to Southern Miss this coming weekend.

In mid-December Easterling officially visited Rutgers and has claimed the Scarlet Knights as his leader ever since.

"I like their academic program and stuff like that," said Easterling. "I like the historical look of the school – I like that. I [also] like how they use their running backs."

Without visiting the campus, Easterling admits it's tough to develop an opinion of the Tar Heels. However, he does like that UNC offers the potential to play early.

"I like that I can come in and play right away," said Easterling. "[Williams] said if I come in they aren't looking for someone to redshirt. They want someone who can play right away."

Easterling is looking to make his final decision at or right before Signing Day.

During his senior season, Easterling rushed for 2,831 yards and 33 touchdowns in just 15 games.
