Cadet Postpones UNC Official

A scheduling mix-up has forced Travaris Cadet to reschedule his North Carolina official visit, which was originally scheduled for this past weekend.

"I was supposed to go to North Carolina this [past] weekend, but I couldn't make it up there," said Cadet. "I'm going to North Carolina this [coming] weekend. I'm going to try to schedule South Florida the middle of the week and then go to North Carolina on Friday."

Cadet, a 6-foot-1 200-pound athlete from Miami (Fla.) Central, has already officially visited Buffalo, Tennessee, and Toledo.

Despite the lack of a campus visit, Cadet appears on the verge of verbally committing to the Tar Heels.

"I was planning on committing this [past] weekend, but I might do it on my visit this [coming] weekend now," said Cadet. "I'm kind of thinking about committing to North Carolina right now, but it could be Tennessee if they come back in the picture."

The Volunteers' coaching staff has decreased their recruiting efforts of Cadet as they wait to get a better understanding of his academic situation.

"Tennessee is just waiting on my test score," said Cadet. "I just got that back, so I'm going to try to visit them if I can."

According to Cadet, the three-star wide receiver is being recruited as a quarterback by all five aforementioned schools.

As a senior, Cadet led Central to an 11-2 record. He passed for 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 400 yards and two touchdowns.
