UNC-Miami (OH): Tar Heel Injury report

University of North Carolina senior football tackle Eric Davis suffered a torn left ACL in game action against the Miami (OH) Red Hawks on Saturday and will be out for the season.

No decision has been made as to whether or not he will appeal for a medical red-shirt to try to play next year. Head coach John Bunting said that this turn of events could mean a shift in personnel, which he declined to elaborate on at this time, and it could mean that Mickey Rice and Tony Pigford will see time at his position.

Other injuries:

Chesley Borders, sprained left knee.
Kevin Knight, strained left ankle.
Jarwarski Pollock, sprained left ankle.
Jacque Lewis, sprained left shoulder.
Tommy Richardson, sprained left shoulder.

Note: Decisions as to if/when everyone, other than Eric Davis, will practice this week will be made on Tuesday.
