Did all those regular season ACC games, where maybe some slipped away, prepare you for tonight?

Definitely. They definitely prepared us for the tournament. I think every loss has helped us this season. Live and learn. You look back for that moment after we lost and see the mistakes we made, and see what we could do to change it. After each loss we changed something, and that's helped us come together.

On the change in attitude from the first half to the second half -

In the first half we didn't have that passion. In the second half we came out wanting it more than they (USC) did and we came out with the win.

On the emotions at the end of the game -

It feels great. We got momentum, got stops on the defensive end of the court and contributed on the offensive end of the court. It's one of the best feelings in the world.

On how close his team was to going home -

We knew how close we were (to going home). In the lockeroom at halftime, everybody was saying ‘we're not ready to go home yet.' We made our minds up and gave a great effort in the second half.
