What does your list stand now?
"Nine schools: Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas and North Carolina."
Tell me about the recent scholarship offer from North Carolina - how'd that happen?
"I talked to Coach Williams on Friday - he called me on Friday, using his one phone call for the month, and said he's going to recruit me hard."
How much contact had you had from him prior to that?
"Not much. I talk to Coach Holladay more than Coach Williams - I talk to Coach Holladay quite a bit recently."
Was this something expected or was it a surprise?
"It was kind of a surprise, but I'd talked to Coach Holladay on Tuesday of this week and he kind of hinted at it, so it was a surprise then, but not Friday."
I know you've been on the campus before - how'd that go? And have you been able to look at the campus more this weekend?
"I came down last fall, went around campus, met with the business professor, talked to the coaches, played with the team. The campus was really nice. ... I would [re-visit UNC this weekend], but I've get to get back for some workouts I need to get back to on Monday."
Do you have a timetable to narrow in on a decision?
"Hopefully I can narrow it down to five or less, make officials to those and then sign in November."
Tell me what you're looking for in a school -
"Players I can get along with, coaches that I get along with really well and then academics that I want."
What is attractive to you about North Carolina?
"It's a big name, it's a school you always think of. Coach Williams is a great coach ... I love the way they play, hopefully I can be a four and step out and shoot some and post up. I like the way Coach Williams coaches and plays."
How you followed Coach Williams and the players he's had that are similar to you?
"... I have watched quite a bit of North Carolina basketball in past years because they're always at the top and I like watching the top teams in the nation play."
You've got some nearby schools on your list. Do you think it's more likely you'll play closer to home?
"Right now it doesn't matter. I want to just go somewhere I can play. Once you go there, you live there, so distance doesn't matter ... [my parents] are really supportive and wherever I want to, I can go."
