Jarboe Enjoys First Look at UNC

To get an up-close look at North Carolina, Josh Jarboe decided to attend the Tar Heels' one-day camp Saturday.

"It went well," said Jarboe. "I showed up, did my thing, showed what I can do."

Jarboe, a 6-foot-3 195-pound wide receiver from Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, worked with Charlie Williams, UNC's wide receivers coach.

"He was cool," said Jarboe. "He told me to keep pumping my arms during my routes and stuff. He seems like a good receiver coach."

For his hair and his ability, Jarboe was among the standouts in the wide receiver group during one-on-one and seven-on-one passing drills.

"I feel like I did real well, because everybody was watching me and stuff," said Jarboe. "I was really putting on a show."

Before exiting Chapel Hill, Jarboe took a quick tour around the campus.

"It was nice, I liked it," said Jarboe. "They showed me around and stuff."

Jarboe, who has only been verbally offered a UNC scholarship, didn't talk about the status of his offer with primary recruiter John Blake or any other member of the coaching staff.

Following the visit, Jarboe, who recently decided to open up his favorites list, says UNC is definitely a contender.

"They're definitely in the running, but I've got to see my other schools, too, before I make a decision or anything," said Jarboe.

Jarboe will also camp at Florida, LSU, and Oklahoma.

After the football season, Jarboe will begin to narrow down his list of options.

"Whoever passes the ball and where I'll [be able to] play [that's where I want to go]," said Jarboe.

Jarboe claims over 20 offers, including from Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.
