"They stopped by my school, spoke with my coaches, I met them, and they texted me. And then the relationship built.
"They said they've seen tape on me. They said they liked what I do on the field and they offered me."
Bryant, a 5-foot-11 185-pound cornerback, has collected nearly 20 scholarship offers including offers from Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, LSU, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.
UNC assistant Tommy Thigpen is recruiting Bryant for UNC.
"He texts me every now and then to see how things are," said Bryant.
Bryant, who has visited Auburn, will travel to LSU on July 20th. While no plans have been set, Bryant said he will also unofficially visit Alabama, UNC, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and possibly Ohio State and Tennessee during the summer.
Heading into a summer full of visits, Bryant is favoring six schools.
"I'd say my top right now would be LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina," said Bryant. "Most of them are in the SEC and they're really good schools. I really like the SEC because there's great competition."
With their conference affiliation working against them, UNC isn't too far behind the lead pack – if behind at all.
"North Carolina, they're right up there too in my top [group]," said Bryant. "They got a new coach and they're trying to get their program started. I know their coach has a lot of experience, because a lot of people in my family are Miami fans."
Bryant is unsure of his decision timeline.
"I'm not sure right now, because I've still got a couple schools that might offer or are probably going to offer me real soon," said Bryant. "I just don't want to rush into anything right now. I just want to know all of my options."
As a junior, Bryant helped Peachtree Ridge to become 5A State co-Champions. While sharing the secondary with Demps, Bryant accumulated 80 tackles, but no interceptions. He saw some time on offense catching 12 passes for 300 yards.
