Opening remarks –
I thought the key to the game was Adam (Warren) out of the bullpen. When you get in the hole early, you want to hold the other team down and try to cut into the lead. Once again we were able to come from behind. Not sure how long we will be able to do it. Hopefully until the 2008 season. We're fortunate that we have a group that doesn't give up. Pitching and defense usually gets you where you want to be, and it certainly did tonight.
On Robert Woodard's struggles -
Robert will be fine. The good thing is he will be available for Sunday now. He missed on some pitches and they're a good offensive team. There's a fine line with him. He has to hit his spots.
On the comeback -
We're a mature team. We have a lot of experience with the World Series last year. We have a lot of veterans in the field. It's a credit to our coaching staff. We have learned to have confidence in ourselves all the time.
On the lack of offense early -
As long as we're winning, we don't care. We're not going to live and die by the home run.
On his performance -
I was able to locate my fastball, which helped me to get ahead. I also threw a cutter/slider and got some swings and misses on that.
