Craddock, a 6-foot-2 200-pound linebacker from High Point (N.C.) Southwest, originally verbally committed to UNC over a year ago, and then signed last February.
UNC has played a major role in placing Craddock at Hargrave.
"I talked to [Tommy] Thigpen the other day and he said that Hargrave was already set up," said Craddock's mother, Inell.
While at Hargrave, Craddock will take a SAT prep class.
He said he has yet to meet with anyone from Hargrave, but hopes to meet football coach Robert Prunty soon.
"We're waiting on my transcripts from Southwest so I can go ahead and transfer down there," said Craddock, adding that he expects to receive his transcripts by Tuesday.
Although this developments could allow Craddock to reopen up his recruitment, he says he's sticking with UNC.
If all goes as planned, Craddock will enroll at UNC in January in time to participate in spring practice.
