Moody Visiting UNC

Inside Carolina has confirmed through sources close to the situation that Southern Cal running back Emmanuel Moody arrived in Chapel Hill Tuesday afternoon for a campus visit. The Trojans' second-leading rusher in 2006 announced last week that he had decided to transfer.

A 6-foot-1, 205-pound rising sophomore, Moody gained 458 yards on 79 carries (5.8 yards per carry) last season before missing the final four games after suffering a bad ankle sprain against Oregon. He also missed the majority of the 2007 spring training camp because of a hamstring injury.

"North Carolina, I've heard great things about them," Moody told's Oklahoma State affiliate earlier this week. "Their coach (Butch Davis) was at Miami and had success there. I think I need to check it out."

Besides UNC, he is also considering Florida, Texas and Oklahoma State as potential transfer destinations.
