Season Opener Sold Out

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Think Tar Heel fans are excited for the beginning of the Butch Davis era? All tickets for Saturday night's football season opener against James Madison are sold out, the UNC Athletic Ticket Office announced on Monday.

"Just come and be passionately into the game," Davis said Monday. "Don't just come and be an observer. Come and be a part of the game, a part of experience. Be loud, make noise, scream, yell, cheer. Be part of the environment."

Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 6 p.m. at Kenan Stadium.

"Fans truly can be an effective part - they can help you emotionally during tough times, they can be a part of the intimidation factor for the opponent," Davis said. "You'd love for them to be here early. So get here and be loud."

According to UNC, single-game tickets remain for the Virginia (Sept. 15), Maryland (Nov. 3) and Duke (Nov. 24) games, while a limited number of tickets remain for the Miami game (Oct. 6).
