Opening remarks:
"We feel – needless to say – a lot luckier than Sidney and his staff feels like. Sometimes when things go wrong for you, they continue to go that way and it's probably what those guys feel like right now. I thought we were really lucky in the first half to stay in contact with NC State and then all a sudden made some big baskets right before the half. I think we scored the last eight or nine points for a three-point at halftime. And then we came out in the second half and I thought we really played well.

"We made a conscious effort to try to get the ball to Tyler inside, and I thought he made a lot of plays. Wayne Ellington made some shots for us as well. But to me, in the second half it was getting the ball inside to Tyler. And then we got a couple of turnovers with our defense. And also I think Quentin really played well in the second half. We only had four turnovers in the second half, and if you can believe my [Sports Information Director], ‘Q' had four assists and zero turnovers.

"North Carolina State – I don't want to speak for their team because Sidney knows them a million times better than I do – but it just seemed like it was one of those things that didn't go well for them."

On Tyler Hansbrough's performance:
"He's pretty doggone good. When we get the basketball to him he's able to make plays. He's added a jump shot that draws his defender in closer. Tyler Hansbrough is pretty doggone good and he gives you the same thing every night, and that's the best that he can give you."

Is the team hitting its stride right now?
"We're doing pretty well. We're 10-2 in the league and 25-2 overall. We had some lucky games, there's no question about that, but I thought Saturday against Virginia Tech and then again tonight I thought we played well, in addition to getting fortunate sometimes. We need Deon. He just felt like he couldn't go and be effective in the second half. It stiffened up on him and I started to not even play him in the second half, but decided to let him try to play the first two or three minutes and see if he could go, and he couldn't. And, needless to say, we need Ty Lawson so that we can get some easy ones."

On the environment at the RBC Center:
"You go onto the road in the ACC and the crowd is going to be into the game. It's always going to be up and down, and we talk to the team about that. We talk about playing with poise, and they certainly did that tonight."

On rebounding:
"Coach Holladay told the team that out of the last 10 times we've played, we've out-rebounded them nine times. We won all of those games. The time that we got out-rebounded, they won. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but we definitely mentioned it."

On the run to end the first half:
"That was really important for us. I think things were going well for them in the first half, and then towards the end of it, we got some stops which lead to our offense and it just carried over."

On the team scoring on 11 of their first 12 possessions of the second half:
"We hit some big shots. Guys stepped up. We executed and did the things that we needed to do."

Was this a gratifying win?
Yes, you know, it is. It's a tough crowd [and] a tough place to play and we're satisfied with it, but we still did some things that we'll look back at and learn from and hopefully we'll be ready on Saturday."

On his recent improvement:
"I think each game I'm just getting more and more confident, and a lot more comfortable. My teammates are definitely showing and telling me that they have a lot more confidence in me, along with the coaching staff, so I just want to feed off that energy and continue to work hard and not get complacent and continue to get better."

How helpful is it when Hansbrough and Ellington combine for more than 50 points?
"It makes it a lot easier. Wayne is a sharpshooter [and] a great player. And Tyler – there really is no word for him. He does what he does. He's a beast down there."

What does this win say about the team?
"We're getting more comfortable and more confident. Especially Quentin – as our point guard, he's just coming along really well. He's leading us really well, and as a result of that, our team's playing really well."

How are you able to win this games with so many injuries?
"Just coming together as a team and knowing that we can do it. We're a talented team, no matter how many guys we play. And we know that as long as we come together as a team and do what we want to do and play North Carolina basketball, we'll be fine."
