"I work out with my trainer Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays," Guy said. "Mondays are basically upper body, Wednesdays are lower body, and Fridays are for speed and agility.
"I do the bench days [from UNC's regimen] on Tuesdays and the leg days [from UNC's regimen] on Thursdays."
Guy's weekly routine has allowed him to reach 227 pounds, drop his 40-yard dash time to 4.55 seconds, and improve his bench press max to 315 pounds.
Guy, a 6-foot-4 and 227-pounder from Washington (D.C.) Woodson, hopes to see the field as a true freshman
"[I'm coming in as a] linebacker, but they've been talking to me about defensive end because they need depth at that position," Guy said. "But right now, [I'm coming in as a] SAM linebacker."
For most of his sophomore and junior seasons, Guy played WILL (weakside linebacker). Last fall, though, he starred at MIKE (middle linebacker) where he recorded 103 tackles including seven sacks, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles.
Guy has had his jersey number picked out several months back – or so he thought.
"I want to wear No. 7, but on my [official] visit I chose No. 12, so hopefully I can change it to 7 when I get down there," Guy said. "[No. 7] was my Aunt's favorite number and she passed away."
Certified by the NCAA Clearinghouse, Guy is set to arrive on campus on June 16.
Following his senior football season, Guy played power forward for Woodson's basketball team averaging a double-double (12 points and 10 rebounds). In one game, Guy said he collected 25 rebounds.
Guy then went on to track and field, participating in the 200-meter, discus, high jump, and 4 x 200-meter relay. His top 200-meter time was 23.2 seconds.
