Off to Omaha

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- The Tar Heel baseball team was greeted by both fans and reporters as it boarded the bus Thursday afternoon to begin the trip to the 2008 College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

"I think we're very confident. We've been there the last couple of years and we've got some experience and we know what to expect. We can't take any game lightly, and if we get behind, don't panic and just play our own game and hopefully we'll be all right." -- Dustin Ackley

"We're confident right now. We've been confident all year. We trust everybody on this team and that's really what makes us so confident." -- Tim Fedroff

"This is the fun part. It's the culmination of a lot of hard work and with people coming out today to see us off, I know it means a lot to the players and it means a lot to me… We're excited to be going to Omaha." -- Coach Mike Fox

"This is not new to us, so you hope that when you get down to a big part of a game possibly, that experience will be a big factor for us. We've got a number of guys going out here that have played before. They won't be intimidated and the bright lights won't scare them, I don't think, so we'll see how [the experience] helps us – hopefully it will." -- Coach Mike Fox
