The weekend's visit was, however, able to further accelerate Bell's college decision timetable.
"I'm just going to go ahead and try to get everything over with," Bell said. "I'm not going to take like four or five [official] visits. I'm going to take like two or three [official] visits."
Bell says he will "for sure" take official visits to Illinois and UNC. Although nothing has been scheduled yet, he is looking to take the visits on back-to-back weekends – Illinois on November 15 (versus Ohio State) and UNC on November 22 (versus NC State).
NC State and Michigan will battle it out for Bell's third and final official visit slot.
"Since NC State has been calling me the most and having the most interest in me, I might just take a visit to NC State," Bell said.
Initially, Bell wanted to take all five of his official visits. He cut that down to four after a mid-August UNC visit. Now, after yet another UNC visit, Bell is down to three official trips.
"Basically, I'm just ready to get everything over with," Bell said. "I've been enjoying this recruiting thing, but I'm ready to get everything over with. I want to get everything out of the way so that I can focus on what I need to focus on."
Bell will make a verbal commitment after taking all of his desired official visits – however many that might end up being.
Bell admits he has a leader, but says he will continue to keep it a secret until he announces his verbal commitment.
"My mouth is shut," Bell said.
Bell admits that Josh Hunter's verbal commitment last week provides UNC an edge. Hunter and Bell are cousins and close friends.
