  • Byron Best: "...had a 97-yard kickoff return touchdown negated by an illegal blocking penalty." -- Index Journal Article
  • Sam Montgomery: "Defensively, Eagle standouts Sam Montgomery and Kelcy Quarles spent a lot of time in the Hanna backout." Montgomery had two sacks and "several" tackles for a loss. -- Index Journal Article
  • Jheranie Boyd: "... did get two electrifying touches of the football. But each was called back by Green Wave penalties. A first-quarter 22-yard reception on a tunnel screen was turned into a 4-yard play by a holding penalty.   • Angelo Hadley: "...returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown, the first of his two interceptions in the game." -- Tampa Tribune Article
  • Erik Highsmith: "... intercepted two passes in the final three minutes to seal the victory." Highsmith also caught two passes for 20 yards and rushed once for six yards. -- Sun Journal Article
  • Josh Hunter: "... intercepted a pass at his own 35 and returned it for a score." -- Charlotte Observer Article
  • Mywan Jackson: scored a touchdown on a two-yard run. -- Tampa Tribune Article
  • Josh McKie: "Brothers Joshua and Jeremiah McKie did most of the damage for Mauldin on offense. Joshua scored three touchdowns, twice on passes from Jeremiah." -- Herald-Journal Article McKie turned two of his four catches into touchdowns (19 and 16 yards). He collected 57 yards in receptions.
