Obviously, this extremely young Carolina team can't afford for Doherty's ultra-intense style, which definitely alienated various players at Notre Dame and UNC during his first three seasons as a head coach, to become an issue again. The Heels are young enough that they still have lots to learn about basketball at the big-time level, but (unlike last year) they're talented enough to accomplish great things if they stick together and improve during the season. That's exactly the scenario in which coaching becomes most important.
