Lueders' trek will begin in late March and will also include a stop at Wake Forest.
"I've gotten to see a lot of campuses, so I've been around," Lueders said.
In addition to his tour of the two North Carolina schools, Lueders is planning spring trips to Boston College and Stanford. He plans to make several unofficial visits this summer, but isn't sure of the destinations.
All these visits will play a major factor in Lueders collegiate decision.
"I'm looking for a good combination of academics and football," Lueders said. "And then I'm looking for great coaches and good people and just a good campus."
Lueders plans to make a verbal commitment before the start of his senior football season.
"I just want to get it out of the way and not allow it to be a distraction for my senior season [and] just to know where I'm going," Lueders said.
Amid a slew of visits, Lueders purposely doesn't claim any favorite schools.
"I'm keeping my mind pretty open [and] my options pretty open right now," Lueders said.
Shortly after his junior season concluded, UNC sent Lueders a scholarship offer.
"They've been consistently sending me letters, including handwritten letters," Lueders said. "They said they got my name from some local coach that I played against. I don't know. I just sent them my film [as they requested], they liked it, and they offered."
Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Purdue, Stanford, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest have also offered Lueders.
Lueders' most recent contact with UNC has been with John Blake.
"He said he loved my film," Lueders said. "He said I reminded him of a couple of players they had. And then said he thought I was a real aggressive player that hits hard."
Lueders is being recruited for several different positions.
"I'd say most schools are looking at me as a defensive end," Lueders said. "Some are also after a big linebacker. Some are also saying tight end. A lot of schools are telling me I'm just a football player and they'll figure out my position when I get there."
UNC is a member of the latter group.
"They've said they could see me playing defensive end, linebacker, tight end – they could see me in a lot of positions," Lueders said.
