Leslie Schedules UNC Visit

Over the past few weeks the mutual interest between C.J. Leslie and North Carolina has taken the next step. And now the 6-foot-8, 190-pound power forward has set a date to visit with Roy Williams and his staff.

Leslie, a 6-9 standout at Raleigh (N.C.) Word of God, will make the short drive to Chapel Hill on Tuesday, June 16.

"The last few weeks [their interest] really has picked up a lot," Leslie said of communication with the Tar Heel staff. "It's definitely improved since the [Carolina Challenge in March]."

Once a NC State commit, Leslie opened up his recruitment in mid-March and has since heard from high major programs across the country. Leslie said he's heard from every school in the ACC except Duke.

"It's going good," he said of his recruitment. "I've been getting a lot of phone calls. It's been busy."

Among the coaches he's talked to on the phone include UNC head coach Roy Williams and UNC assistant coach Steve Robinson.

"I don't want say too much about North Carolina right now," Leslie said. "But I definitely am interested [in UNC] and I want to keep it right there."

Scout.com ranks Leslie the No. 4 power forward in the 2010 class and the No. 12 prospect overall.
