Heels get two more commitments

North Carolina's big recruiting weekend continues to pay immediate dividends. Two more high school standouts have committed to UNC, bringing the weekend total to three -- but stay tuned to IC, as more could be on the way ...

Inside Carolina has learned from sources close to the program that two additional players have made their commitments to the Tar Heels.

Tennessee star linebacker Fred Sparkman is the first of the two commits. He was named Tenn. Mr. Football last season for his classification, UNC's second Tenn. Mr. Football in this class (the other being WR Adarius Bowman).

TheInsiders' Scott Kennedy was thoroughly impressed by Sparkman when scouting game film. "Sparkman is physical and aggressive," Kennedy wrote. "He drops in coverage well and has a knack for coming up with a big play when his team needed one. Sparkman is just an explosive defensive prospect."

The second commitment is Clint Session, a Fla. linebacker who de-committed from Pittsburgh in order to make his verbal to UNC. While Session was a linebacker standout at Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely, he also played fullback and that appears to be the top position that he's slated to play at Carolina.

UPDATE: While Session committed to UNC, it appears that the Tar Heels did not accept his commitment as they have a couple of more highly touted linebackers that are giving UNC a strong look.

That's 16 commitments now for John Bunting and his staff. Stay tuned to IC, as plenty more are on the way ... The second
