"It will be a good thing for me just because it will allow me to get my academics down and work on football a lot," Bunn said.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound defensive back was holding out hope that his academics had improved enough to be eligible for North Carolina this fall.
"I just received my [SAT] score," Bunn told Inside Carolina on Sunday night. "I'm waiting for the coaches to tell whether or not I actually qualified."
Bunn talked to Hargrave head coach Robert Prunty last week and was informed that he would play multiple positions in the secondary, with a primary emphasis at safety.
