Bryant, 5-foot-10, 173-pound cornerback from Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville, was offered a scholarship by UNC in the spring. However, he didn't get the official offer letter until recently, because of delivery issues.
Everett Withers is recruiting Bryant for UNC.
"[Withers] said I'm one of the top players on his [cornerback] list," Bryant said.
Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Virginia round out the remainder of Bryant's top six. He says he also has an interest in a few of the Florida schools, including Miami.
Bryant expects to begin to schedule official visits the next couple of weeks. He says he will most likely visit Michigan State, Ohio State, and Tennessee.
Bryant doesn't have a leader, but admits Michigan State, Ohio State, and Tennessee are sticking out more than the other three schools on his favorites list.
"[I like those three] just because the feedback that I get from all the coaches and just the things that the players have been telling me about those schools," Bryant said.
Ohio State has had a lot of success in landing recruits from Glenville.
"I really don't know, right now," Bryant said of the possibility of following the pipeline. "As of right now, I'm just trying to enjoy the recruiting process and see where it takes me."
Bryant is looking to make a verbal commitment in late December or early January – after all five of his official visits have been taken.
Glenville kicked off the season last Saturday with a 14-13 loss to rival St. Ignatius. Bryant recorded nine tackles and two pass break-ups on defense, 62 receiving yards and 23 rushing yards on offense, and converted two field goals (19 and 37 yards).
