  • Marcus Lattimore: He carried the ball 23 times for 122 yards and two scores (1 and 2 yards), but fumbled three times. He also caught eight passes for 94 yards. "My team stuck with me the whole time," Lattimore said with tears in his eyes. "They love me. Every time I had a fumble, they all came up and told me, ‘It's OK.' "-- Herald-Journal
  • Darius Lipford: "Hibriten senior Darius Lipford picked off Miller on the Indians' first play from scrimmage in the second half, returning the interception 33 yards for a touchdown and a 27-7 Panthers lead." -- News-Topic
  • Demetrious Nicholson: He had two interceptions and partially blocked a punt from the end zone. "We were excited because we knew they had thrown nine interceptions and were going to air it out," Nicholson told the Virginian-Pilot. "We've been waiting all year for this. We know we've got great DBs." His second pick came in the end zone with 1:45 to play and the opponent's driving for the potential winning score. "They did some kind of criss-cross and we were in a zone and I read it," he said. "The quarterback looked that way. I knew I had to make the play and I did." -- The Virginian-Pilot
  • Aramide Olaniyan: "On their following possession, the Blue Devils drove deep in Tigers' territory, but the drive stalled when Aramide Olaniyan brought down FUMA running back Andre Parker on a fourth-and-three play." -- Daily Progress

  • Brian Taylor: "The Trojans took the lead for good late in the third quarter when junior quarterback Brian Taylor found a wide open Reggie Patterson behind the secondary and hit him for a 63-yard touchdown pass." He completed 7-of-13 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 58 yards on 16 carries. -- The Daily Record
  • T.J. Thorpe: He had three receptions for 122 and three touchdowns (71, 50, and 31). "In the first half, he was the man," Jordan head coach Michael Briggs said of Thorpe. "He was as good as it gets. We got to able to complement him and get some other guys to make some plays." -- The Herald Sun
  • Marquise Williams: "After a scoreless first quarter in which Williams was held without a completion, the Mavericks struck quickly, getting a scoring strike from Williams to Louis Mitchell."
