Livingston: 'Pandemonium' in Chapel Hill

Inside Carolina couldn't see the smile on Donnell Livingston's face, but the sound of his voice was enough to tell the story.

"I just feel great," Livingston said with a laugh. "I am just relieved that is it all over."

That is the recurring theme with most recruits, but after a 3-9 season it's a feeling that the UNC coaching staff is feeling as the LOI's continue to roll in.

Livingston talked with the Tar Heels coaching staff and said they were excited to hear from him.

"It was crazy, they were all excited. It must be like pandemonium up there. I guess this is one of the better recruiting classes at UNC and I am glad to be a part of it."

Livingston said in the end, Chapel Hill was where he needed to be.

"It's the best of both worlds – it's the perfect combination of academics and athletics. I really fit in there."

With family in Charlotte and Fayetteville, Livingston's family had a preference in his decision-making process.

"They are happy because they always wanted me to go there. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at UNC."

Livingston tallied 65 tackles as a senior defensive lineman for Sarasota High (Fla.) and collected nine sacks, in addition to forcing four fumbles. He was also an honorable mention class 6-A all-state selection.
