  • Christian Bryant: He recovered a fumble and converted his lone extra point attempt.-- Plain Dealer

  • Kris Frost: "We have to finish this," Frost told the Charlotte Observer. "We feel like this is a team to remember. We feel like we can match this team up with any Butler team that's come before it, with any Independence team, with anybody. It doesn't matter.   • Everett Golson: He completed 17-of-33 passes for 279 yards, an interception, and two touchdowns (20 and 16 yards). He also rushed five times for 16 yards and a seven-yard score. -- Sun News

  • Marcus Lattimore: He scored both of Byrnes touchdowns on one-yard runs. He rushed for 151 yards on 32 carries and caught five passes for 76 yards. -- Herald-Journal
  • Christian LeMay: He passed for 391 yards and three touchdowns. -- Charlotte Observer
  • Corey Miller: He registered two tackles (both solo). -- Herald-Journal
  • Cameron Newton: He scored on a 19-yard touchdown run. -- Houston Chronicle
  • Brian Taylor: He converted a 29-yard field goal. "I was hoping the offense would score some more points," Taylor told the Fayetteville Observer, "but the defense held it for us. I don't think we've been at the top of our game the past two weeks, but the (opposition) defenses are definitely better.   • Brandon Willis: He had a team-high seven tackles (six solo) and two sacks. -- Herald-Journal
